I learned where Ventura County was when the Navy made my 1978 job offer. A mild year-round Southern California costal climate near the mountains – Sounds good to me. The Channel Islands Harbor area is our home. Lots of beachcombing and sunsets. I’ve lived either at or near the beach since moving to California.

Sharon and I are hooked on Ventura County beaches, biking and hiking. I found my beach(s) and discovered the Sierras…taking mom’s advice: “Go outside and play”.
