Seabee Memorial – Arlington National Cemetery
In 1978 I transferred to Port Hueneme, CA. and provided logistics and computer support to the Navy’s Facilities Engineering Command. My math and computer background landed me system and computer analyst positions overseeing Seabee applications. I retired as Operations Manager for the command’s Information Technology Center.
I had the opportunity to routinely travel across the United States. Our focus was on computer networking, mainframe interface and application standardization. Being part of the world’s largest bureaucracy wasn’t always the greatest job, but the things I learned, places visited, and people I met made the journey worth it. Retired – May 2008.
